Client's Challenge
TikTok approached us with a clear objective: to improve the quality and impact of their internal e-learning training for staff. Their existing modules, focused on internal advertising policies, were falling short in several key areas:
- Lack of engagement: Staff were not engaging meaningfully with the material.
- Poor interactivity and navigation: The user experience was disjointed, reducing course effectiveness.
- Inconsistent branding: Visually, the courses did not reflect TikTok’s distinct identity or standard.
TikTok needed a partner who could advance their learning experience, reinforce their brand, and deliver a cohesive, engaging training program for their global team.
Our Solution
Over a 12-month period, we collaborated with TikTok to design and deliver four fully branded, interactive e-learning modules, covering:
- Gambling-Related Behaviour Policy
- Intellectual Property Protection Tool
- Two modules on different elements of the Irrelevant Promotion Policy
To address TikTok’s concerns, we implemented the following:
- AI-driven branded imagery: We used AI tools to generate a consistent, polished visual identity across all modules, aligning closely with TikTok’s brand guidelines and boosting learner recognition and trust.
- Customised interactivity with Articulate Rise: Leveraging Rise’s dynamic capabilities, we built engaging experiences using interactive elements such as click-to-reveals, knowledge checks, and scenario-based learning.
- Standardised structure and navigation: We streamlined the learner journey by standardising the layout, navigation, and visual elements, making the content intuitive and easy to digest.
The Results
Our partnership with TikTok delivered measurable improvements in the overall learning experience:
- Increased learner engagement through interactive, immersive content
- Improved knowledge retention with intuitive navigation and clear learning pathways
- Stronger brand consistency, reinforcing TikTok’s internal identity and messaging
- Scalable templates that allow for efficient rollout of future training content
These upgraded modules not only met TikTok’s internal training objectives but also laid a strong foundation for their ongoing eLearning strategy.
